Toy Aussies with Tails!
Everyone thinks of an Aussie with a docked tail, however slowly but surely tails are not only becoming more accepted, they are sought after. We will always do what is best for our dogs and are proud to be part of a changing perception on what an Aussie should look like!
Why don't we dock tails?
Docking tails is becoming more widely condemned and is even illegal in in all European countries, Australia, and Brazil. We will always do what is best for our puppies and docking tails is simply unnecessary.

Docking tails originated because it was believed to prevent rabies, obviously we know this is not true. These days the reasoning is to prevent injury to the tail and/or spine. Docking tails in herding breeds such as Australian Shephers might prevent the dog from having it's tail stepped on while working livestock. This is a widely debatable point with minimal research to support the theory. There is one study to date on tail injuries, more information can be read HERE. Since Toy Aussies aren't going to be working stock dogs, there is no reason, except cosmetic, to amputate their tails. Toy Aussies are beautiful animals and a tail left intact does not take away one ounce of beauty!
